Chicken Milanese is a classic Italian dish featuring thin chicken cutlets coated in seasoned breadcrumbs, then pan-fried until golden and crispy. It’s simple, elegant, and often served with a fresh lemon wedge or a light salad.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place chicken cutlets between plastic wrap and pound to even thickness.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: flour in the first, eggs mixed with milk in the second, breadcrumbs combined with Parmesan, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the third.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess.
  4. Dip into egg mixture, then coat evenly with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry chicken cutlets for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
